Lift People Up (by Being Grounded in Yourself)

Be someone who lifts up people around you. It means 1) emanating with positive energy and 2) having the strength to be grounded in it around others. Giving others the opportunity to rise up to your energy, instead of falling down yourself.

The primary beneficiary of you being positive and solidly grounded in your energy is of course: You. So that’s reason enough to do it. But you’re also serving others when doing so – and for me that’s quite inspiring.

Whether people are actually lifted up or not depends mainly on them, of course. Some people will unconsciously start exerting pressure over you and try to bring you down when you’re in a high positive state around them. They might even become hostile – most will try to cover it up and be passive aggressive, the more unhinged ones will display it openly. It’s best to approach situations like this tactfully and either try to soften these people up skillfully, or leave them, change your environment. Sometimes it’s really best to just change your surroundings and avoid interacting with people who have their demons on full display.

Other people will be more receptive and it’s these folks that it’s worth to be around. Strive to be around people who are on a similar wavelength to you. You’ll be lifting them up more easily – and since they’re similar, they’ll probably be lifting you up as well.

It’s a joy to feel that you have a positive influence on your world. Just keep in mind that you’ll probably only influence the part of the world that is already open to it.
