  • Seeing Loving Your Job as Pathetic

It’s common for people to have cold and distanced attitude towards their job. Not engaging themselves fully & only doing the least of what’s required to satisfy the employer, while keeping in mind that the employer is not their friend.

There’s usually truth to that – yes, the employer isn’t your friend, I’m not denying that. But why should that stop you from you loving your job? Infusing your work with love and engagement is simply a better way to live – for YOU! The employer does benefit from this higher engagement of course, but the primary beneficiary is YOU. A life loved through and through is a life well lived.

People can often try to shame you when you embrace your job too much – especially if it’s a job that “doesn’t deserve it”. They can deem it as pathetic to give yourself away to work for an entity that isn’t really your ally. After a while, you could start believing that and put a barrier against your love while at work, not allowing yourself to be engaged because it’s “cucking” and pitiful. But you CAN disregard all that and LOVE nevertheless, because YOU simply want to live that way.

It’s never pathetic to do what you’re doing with love. If anything’s pathetic, it’s cynicism and withholding your love. Don’t be a cynic.

Note: I’m not advocating for excusing poor behaviour of your employer. I’m just saying it’s good to infuse love in the work that’s to do in the moment. I acknowledge that working at some jobs could genuinely be abusive – if so, you should move towards quitting them.

  • Do Things with Love

Whatever you’re doing, do it with love. Go into it deeply. Be engaged.

No matter if it’s working at your job, doing the dishes, having a conversation with your loved one, exercising, just laying on your bed doing nothing. What if you embraced this – what’s currently being done, and went into it fully?

Do it for yourself. Do it for love. Infuse spirit into your daily life.

  • Be Prudent With Big Energetic Changes

Even if an inspiring energy strongly arose in your mind to make a big change in your life, this does NOT mean that you must IMMEDIATELY turn your life around and act on it. Especially if the energy is very recent, not something you’ve been thinking about for a long time.

Be prudent and patient. Give yourself time to stabilize. If it’s truly meant for you, it will come back to you again anyway. You don’t need to immediately act on it in a rushed way, in the fear of losing it or changing your mind.

Yes, you might change your mind. That’s entirely possible. But it’s usually not worth it to act on sudden, unpremeditated bursts of energy that have long-term consequences. It’s usually best to make important energetic choices from a place of being more ready for it. I’m not saying you have to feel FULLY ready – it’s normal to have doubts, so most often you will act without full readiness. I’m just saying: don’t act on unpremeditated impulse.

  • Regrets Are Meant to be Processed and Let Go Of

If you have regrets, don’t avoid them. Process them, cry them out if needed, and soon enough you’ll be free from the feeling.

It can be difficult to admit regret. You might feel like admitting it means: confirming forever that you’re some sort of failure in life. But no, quite the opposite – once fully admitted, this feeling simply goes. You stop being bounded by it, and the thoughts that “you failed in life” lose their strength. It stops being true for you; you become free of this curse. You can finally move forward.

Here’s a tip: see the feeling of regret (and specific memories connected to it) as impersonal. It doesn’t relate to you. It’s simply a feeling/energy that you are meant to process and move on from. But you are never endangered by it. You don’t need to protect your established life story from it – the story is bullshit anyway.
