  • Seeing Loving Your Job as Pathetic

It’s common for people to have cold and distanced attitude towards their job. Not engaging themselves fully & only doing the least of what’s required to satisfy the employer, while keeping in mind that the employer is not their friend.

There’s usually truth to that – yes, the employer isn’t your friend, I’m not denying that. But why should that stop you from you loving your job? Infusing your work with love and engagement is simply a better way to live – for YOU! The employer does benefit from this higher engagement of course, but the primary beneficiary is YOU. A life loved through and through is a life well lived.

People can often try to shame you when you embrace your job too much – especially if it’s a job that “doesn’t deserve it”. They can deem it as pathetic to give yourself away to work for an entity that isn’t really your ally. After a while, you could start believing that and put a barrier against your love while at work, not allowing yourself to be engaged because it’s “cucking” and pitiful. But you CAN disregard all that and LOVE nevertheless, because YOU simply want to live that way.

It’s never pathetic to do what you’re doing with love. If anything’s pathetic, it’s cynicism and withholding your love. Don’t be a cynic.

Note: I’m not advocating for excusing poor behaviour of your employer. I’m just saying it’s good to infuse love in the work that’s to do in the moment. I acknowledge that working at some jobs could genuinely be abusive – if so, you should move towards quitting them.

  • Do Things with Love

Whatever you’re doing, do it with love. Go into it deeply. Be engaged.

No matter if it’s working at your job, doing the dishes, having a conversation with your loved one, exercising, just laying on your bed doing nothing. What if you embraced this – what’s currently being done, and went into it fully?

Do it for yourself. Do it for love. Infuse spirit into your daily life.

  • Kindness Is the Real Punk Rock

High energy, positivity, hope, lightness, kindness, compassion is cool.

    Inspire yourself to be that.

  • Amuse Yourself In Life

Find ways to amuse yourself in everyday life. Find out and come back to things/perspectives that you genuinely find funny. The more “basic” they are, in that you see them very often, the better!

Here are some examples: I find birds dorky and I can’t help but laugh at them. The way they look physically and how they walk with their heads bopping is so funny to me, haha. Another thing could be: just looking at humans and seeing them as these weird creatures, or monkeys. Imagine you enter the perspective of an alien who doesn’t know anything about humanity. The daily behaviour of humans is actually very funny – like, what the fuck is everyone doing?! Really try to enter this perspective, I recommend it. And lastly: people getting worked up over petty things, like getting angry over traffic. I can’t contain my laughter when I see it.

Know what you find funny and have these amusing ways of viewing the world at your disposal. Also, just be aware of what type of humour you have, and then surround yourself with memes/objects aligned with that humour. You can set your funniest memes as your phone wallpaper, or even print them out and stick them to your wall. Or buy yourself a T-shirt with a slogan that genuinely makes you laugh. Seriously, amuse yourself!

It’s important to have laughter in your life. You can make a deliberate effort to bring it in and lighten yourself up in the long-term.

P.S. How to find out what you find funny? Primarily by being observant. The more aware you are of your surroundings constantly, the more little things you’ll notice, some of which are bound to spark laughter in you when you then think about them.

  • Have a Zest for Life

Zest is the #1 thing that brings happiness into your existence. It’s being committed to and excited about the daily life, the things you’re doing. It’s infusing spirit and personal meaning into your activities. It’s embracing your path and the daily steps needed to walk it.

I can’t stress enough how important it is. It’s also beautiful. It’s the attitude of someone who is really grateful for living, and pays that back by living fully. Isn’t it admirable? It’s the way of Spirit.

  • Your Daily Choices Are an Adventure

Every day is an exciting time. You’re making choices regarding what you’re acting upon, which affects your future life. Every good choice is one step forward, and you can usually make a few of them during the day.

Making good choices is like playing this game of life well. And it’s exciting because YOU’RE the player – it’s completely interactive! And each good choice brings YOU a step closer towards something great. It’s amazing how you have the opportunity to energetically lift yourself up by the bootstraps. It rests upon you, and you have that power. It’s a blessing.

“How you spend your days is how you spend your life.” When you treat your individual daily choices as an adventure, your whole life becomes one. :)

  • Don’t Give In to Apathy

Don’t let the voice (energy) in you saying “But what’s the point?” become more influential over voices/visions inspiring you to do something. Unless there’s something even more worthwhile worth doing (which does include simply being and enjoying Reality), you should move with the motivation that’s even faintly inspiring you.

Don’t give in to thoughts of meaninglessness. An energy that’s making you rot away in bed or endlessly consume content is not worth listening to. Because compared to it, what’s the point of NOT doing something even slightly arousing you?

Err on the side of doing something (compared to doing bullshit), even if it doesn’t immediately feel meaningful. Don’t be lazy. Summon your zest for life and get to action.

  • Be in Action Most of the Time

Use most of your each day for the active release of energy.

Whenever an energy/motivation arises to do something, go with it. No matter what it is. And when there’s nothing arising, be quiet and don’t distract yourself. Something will come about eventually.

It’s a surefire way to get closer and closer to your goals everyday.

Don’t spend your prime time doing bullshit and consuming content. You can have some of that when you’re used up for the day in the evening.

  • Do Things for Fun

Essentially, doing something for fun means doing it for it’s own sake. Not with the intent to achieve a secondary goal.

What do you want to do just because? What are you being guided towards?

Some examples of what personally feels like fun for me:

    • Doing the work in romantic love, resolving conflicts with a partner, going through tests of character, getting to know myself
    • Going on walks in nature to wind down, talking to Reality to release tension, cleansing myself from hardship
    • Having small-talk with strangers, flirting with women, being in my own energy in public
    • Cycling, playing badminton, doing bicep curls at the gym, cardio
    • Coming up with ideas for topics & writing this blog <3
    • Exploring new places in an active way

I think the goal is to surrender into Steerage so much that you enjoy doing basically anything. You’re not doing things for a secondary goal when you’re not controlling anything in your mind. You’re just going with where Guidance throws you.

Life feels richer when you do more things just for doing them.

  • Dress How You Feel Looks Cool

What do you think looks good on you? Try things on yourself and observe your reactions.

This comes back to being curious about who you are again. Listen to yourself. Observe what quietly excites you when you see it.

Sometimes you need to give yourself a bit more time to assess the genuine feeling. Your eyes might have to get used to what they’re looking at.

Discover your real taste and let it flourish.

  • Have a Genuine Interest in Reality

If you’re a true lover, you are genuinely interested in that which you love.

I invite you to be a profound lover of Reality. Have a sincere interest in what’s around you. Be fascinated by other people, listen to their stories & what moves them. Notice how whoever you give honest attention to and let them speak their mind, opens up and blossoms in front of your eyes. Reality flowers when you give it attention. It’s a beautiful thing.

Perhaps most importantly, be curious of the reality of you. Your Self blossoms when you simply observe It and let yourself do things. It’s a spectacular unfolding to witness.

  • Be Curious About Who You Are

What if you gave up control and let your Self move through life? That’d be the only way to see how Self actually looks. You can’t predict it beforehand, since it’s mysterious in its nature and silent.

Aren’t you curious about the truth of your character and motivation? Wouldn’t it be interesting to learn who You really are? What You genuinely want to do?

There’s what you think you want or should be. And then there’s what You actually Are.

You can be intrigued by Yourself. Have an attitude of not knowing who You are, and want to discover it. It’s true that you don’t know who You are anyway. So let Yourself do things and satisfy your curiosity.

  • Enjoy the Moment Now

No matter where you’re at, you can always relax and appreciate the beauty of what’s in front of you.

This is the easiest when you’re e.g. in nature, of course. But you can do it anytime. Look at THIS and see the beauty. Appreciate that it exists. See Reality in it, tell it: I love You. Take rest in the shine of what’s happening.

Enjoy the Now. It’s always here. You can come back to it at any time.
