Laughter is a natural impulse in the face of typical behaviour of a consciousness state that you are above of in the moment. When you’re genuinely in higher consciousness, the mechanical conduct of a lower state will amuse you.
This is why the limited behaviour of animals can often makes us laugh. “Aww, it’s so stupid!”. It’s why when I sometimes come across a person very narrowly-minded and ideological (no matter what ideas), I cannot help but laugh inside. It’s also why sketches/cartoons like Mr. Bean or Looney Tunes (eg. Road Runner vs Wile E. Coyote) are funny. The coyote is so obsessed and narrowly focused on the road runner that his actions become entirely counter-productive, which is what often happens in lower consciousness.
Every being is greatly intelligent and this can always be appreciated, but it’s also true that beings are in different states of consciousness and some are higher than others. And when you see “dumb” less conscious behaviour, you’re likely to have an impulse of laughter to it. And that’s alright.
